I can swim in the pool fine and i’m pretty fast, but when it comes to open water i freak out and can hardly breathe and end up doing the breast stroke for most of it. I try to do the front crawl but i can’t see and get off course and just get scared…i don’t know what of though
I just did a triathlon this weekend in a lake and my time was so slow, i got off course a lot, and i kept running into people. I need suggestions for how to get over this and just be able to swim normal in open water. And how do you stay on course in open water? i find it so hard because the water is so murky and you can’t see where you’re going unless you lift your hole head out of the water..
ok this is getting long.. any help would be appreciated.. thanks
like i said i am a good swimmer in pools and i have a lot of experience in pools. I am afraid of swimming in oceans and lakes where its 30+ feet deep. anything shwallower i’m fine.
