my most favorite is the front crawl, then butterfly, breastroke, and least is backstroke. I swam during my sophomore year back in high school and didn’t continue after that year cause practice starts at 5:00 in the morning. I’m slow too. I only swim for recreationial fun and muscular exercise. hehe

same thing to me, i learn this style for half a year and couldnt use it

Leg work is cruicial, because of propulsion and bouyancy, but they consume a lot of oxygen that’s one of the reasons why on longer courses you have slower frequency than on sprints.

Never figured out what these guys are doing with their legs. I mean, I know the legs are not supposed to contribute much, but they seem to work randomly with their legs..? Surely at this competitive level, ANY advantage should be exploited, and some consistent leg movement adopted? Or am I just missing it?

remember that whatever people say here is especulative. the best freestyle technique is the one that makes you go as fast as you possibly can for the distance you have to swim. of course there are some basic lines suchas dont swim with your face stuck up (that everyone already knows) anything else is theory… im still looking for the one that works best for me.

when you go 21.13 for 50m freestyle then you have the right to say whether he sucks or not

  • MaestroSacarias says:

If setting WR sucks, Mark Foster sucks. You ignorant.

  • UNo0b says:

    he sucks anyways.

  • maw291 says:

at least not a good one

  • redwoods9999 says:

nice clip, but this not front crawl !!

  • Monkey200728 says:

what, so how hows it go?!

  • UNo0b says:

The hand should not enter at a diagonal as in thumb or pinky first exactly. IT is basically flat but your hand is not going to be straight along the surface and should enter at a 3 or 4 o’clock position as told by total immersion. Pulling in an S shape does not help and more stress should be put on a high elbow pull keeping the hand and forearm in line to catch more water.

  • quAckmeoff says:

at least he can swim fast ^^

  • carcrashstar93 says:

no, you turn it so the thumb goes in first, then you pull your arm back in a s shape. that means you can catch more water to pull yourself along.

  • royray217 says:

no genius, ur hand is suppose to be a diagonal entry

  • pablicasso25 says:

WOW. GREAT extension, beautiful hand entry, just about beautiful everything for that matter.

  • bobbokrull2 says:

Nice clip. But when does he inhale?

  • suhzar says:

beautiful. i am a very poor swimmer, but should his hands be hitting the water so flat?
