So my parents has been trying to make me become a lifeguard ever since I was little. They have put me in so many swimming classes and made me swim a lot. I’ve passed junior lifeguard training and all I have to do now is pass the final training.
The pretest (the test before the real test) is very close in September and I have no idea how to do the breast stroke. I have to swim 4 laps front crawl, 4 laps breast stroke and choose 4 laps of my own to do. Then I have to swim halfway in the pool, dive underwater, grab a 10 pound brick and swim back to the beginning. I have absolutely no problem with grabbing the brick or doing front crawl. Problem is, I have no idea how to do the breast stroke and can’t swim 12 laps without stopping.
I hate swimming so much and don’t want to do it anymore. I need advice, please help! = What should I do to become a better swimmer?
The Total Immersion swimming style by Ady.
Our puppy Mischief(Tan) learnt how to swim today, after a bit of a scary start when Mischief became aware that she couldn’t just run out to Zeke(Brown), who had gone to fetch the stick Jaime threw out. She went under for a few seconds and came back up to the surface with a look of panic on her face. She gathered herself & adjusted her swimming style and splashed her way through the water, snapping at the white water she was creating with her paws. She had us both laughing at her new technique. Such a funny puppy. Zeke is just determined at times to prevent Mischief from stealing the stick after he does all the hard work, swimming out to get the stick with Mischief waiting slightly closer to the shore just waiting for delivery of the stick. Zeke puts up a good fight. Such fun…

Natural swimming pools rely on the correct balance of living plants and micro-organisms to clean and purify the water. They are easy and less costly to maintain than chemical pools. Chlorine and other common pool chemicals that are hazardous to human health are not used. Natural pools are safe places for children to play and birds to drink, and are a dramatic example of ecological design, combining the natural and man-made worlds while creating beauty. I tried it a lot but still get confused. I don’t know whether I have to push towards my chest or lower plus how low my hand should be etc. Advices? so I can do the s shape stroke better?

Swimming: Butterfly. Until recently, there have been no studies of the musculoskeletal analysis for swimming because of the difficulty to estimate the fluid force acting on the swimmer’s whole body, although such analysis could prove to be valuable information for the athlete swimmer’s training and coaching. Now, a full-body musculoskeletal simulator for swimming has been developed for the AnyBody Modeling System, which enables to calculate fluid force acting on the whole body during swimming. The model presents 4 swimming styles: Crawl, Breststroke, Backstroke, and Butterfly. All Videos: 1. Crawl: www.youtube.com 2. Breaststroke: www.youtube.com 3. Backstroke: www.youtube.com 4. Butterfly: www.youtube.com The research on swimming has been conducted by a research group at Tokyo Institute of Technology, led by Dr. Nakashima.
